CNN’s Anderson Cooper Attacks Ivanka Trump Over Her Father’s Comments About Jews

CNN host Anderson Cooper attacked Ivanka Trump on Wednesday night as he analyzed her father President Donald Trump’s comments about Jewish Americans. Ivanka, who is a senior advisor to the president, converted to Judaism when she married her husband Jared Kushner.

USA Today reported that on his show, Cooper blasted President Trump for his comments about Jewish Americans that he made this week

“Where has the Democratic Party gone? Where have they gone where they are defending these two people over the state of Israel?” Trump told reporters on Tuesday. “I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.”

“It should be noted that throughout history calling Jews disloyal has been a common anti-Semitic trope,” Cooper said. “It’s been a pretext to exclude Jews, or take their businesses, or put them in ghettos, or expel them, or expel them from schools or exterminate them.”

“Ivanka Trump must be very proud of her dad tonight, and you probably can just watch for an Ivanka leak in the coming days about how she tried to talk her father (into)… (changing) that kinda language,” he continued. “”It’s a classic Ivanka move.”

Ivanka has previously opened up about her religion, saying that she’s “always shied away from it being a public conversation because it’s such a personal thing.”

“It’s been such a great life decision for me,” she added. “I am very modern, but I’m also a very traditional person, and I think that’s an interesting juxtaposition in how I was raised as well. I really find that with Judaism, it creates an amazing blueprint for family connectivity.”

Ivanka also said that she and her husband keep their weekends low-key because they observe the Sabbath.

“From Friday to Saturday we don’t do anything but hang out with one another,” Ivanka said. “We don’t make phone calls.”
