AYFKM? Christine Blasey Ford Just Got An Award From Time Magazine, Now She’s One Of “The 100 Most Influential People of 2019”

Just when we thought her name was gone from headline for good, Kavanaugh accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is back with Time Magazine naming her on their list of “The 100 Most Influential People of 2019,” which was released on Tuesday.

Saraacarter.com reports:

Ford was honored by the magazine for her ‘courage’ in coming forward with accusations of alleged sexual violence involving Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Democratic 2020 hopeful Kamala Harris said Ford’s story for the Time’s saying, “Her courage, in the face of those who wished to silence her, galvanized Americans. And her unfathomable sacrifice, out of a sense of civic duty, shined a spotlight on the way we treat survivors of sexual violence.”

Ford claimed that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her more than three decades ago during a high school party during his confirmation process to the United States Supreme Court. Kavanaugh maintained throughout the process that the claims had no validity.

Not to mention that numerous women who previsouly worked alongside Kavanaugh jumped to defend his name.

“With no corroborating evidence, Ford’s case went dark and Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court. However, Senator Kamala Harris vehemently opposed Kavanaugh’s confirmation standing by Ford,” reports investigative journalist Sara Carter.

Harris stated in her announcement of a 2020 campaign, “When Dr. Christine Blasey Ford came forward with serious and credible allegations of sexual assault, not only was she attacked by Senate Republicans, she was mocked by the President of the United States. The White House then prevented the FBI from investigating critical aspects of the allegations or interviewing key witnesses—not even permitting the FBI to interview Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Ford.”

Sara Carter explains that “Ford shares the Time Magazine spotlight with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Former First Lady Michelle Obama, Freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, President Trump, Robert Mueller, and Venezuelan Opposition Leader Juan Guaido.”

National Review reports:

Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell called Kavanaugh “one of the most qualified Supreme Court nominees in modern history” in the brief profile he wrote for Time‘s list. The Kentucky senator went on to praise the former D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals judge’s “resilience and commitment to public service,” “loyal devotion to family and friends,” and “undeterred reverence for the law.”

Senator Kamala Harris, who is seeking the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, wrote Blasey Ford’s profile and praised the Palo Alto University psychology professor’s “unfathomable sacrifice,” which she said “shined a spotlight on the way we treat survivors of sexual violence.”

“Her story, spoken while holding back tears, shook Washington and the country,” Harris wrote.
